Teaching Dance Lessons
Become a dance instructor for girls in public schools to learn ballet, jazz, or hip hop! Once a week, visit a school to teach a warm up, across the floor, and class. Plan lessons, create choreographies, and work with the team to put together an end of a year recital.
Responsibilities
- Visit schools consecutively
- Plan lesson beforehand
- Prepare an appropriate playlist
- Instruct dancers
- Attend meetings
- Collaborate for the recital
Requirements
Attend all classes (1 or 2 depending on your frequency)

Important Dates and Schedules
Classes will take place in any of the following (based on students and volunteer availability):
Weekdays Afterschool: Monday - Friday 3:00pm until 5:30pm
Saturday Morning: 10:00am to 1:00pm Duration: 1 hr to 2 hrs
End of the Year Dance Recital: TBD
